Zen has a VG10 stainless steel cutting core with a super hardness of HRC61 on the Rockwell scale. The knives in the series have a 37-layer blade with a simple Damascus steel pattern with hammered marks on the upper part and its Japanese name stamped on it. The black Canvas-Micarta handle is attached with two stainless steel rivets.
